General properties: very impact resistant (even at -40 °C), hard, scratch resistant

Examples of use: housings and control panels, radiator shields, spoilers, toys

Resistant to: petrol, mineral oil, grease, water
Not resistant to: concentrated mineral acids, benzene

Operating temperature: -30 to +80 °C
Density: 1,02-1,07 g/cm³

Trade names: Lustran, Magnum, Terluran and others

General properties: good strength, abrasion resistant, very good sliding properties

Examples of use: gear wheels, slide bearings, coupling elements

Resistant to: petrol, oil, grease, weak alkalis
Not resistant to: strong alkalis, phenols, mineral acids

Operating Temperature: -40 to +85 °C
Density: 1,12-1,15 g/cm³

Trade names: Durethan B, Ultramid and others

General properties: harder than PA6, more resilient, lower water absorption

Examples of use: Rolling bearing cages, bearing bushings, screws, oil filters, intake pipes

Resistant to: petrol, oil, grease, weak alkalis
Not resistant to: strong alkalis, phenols, mineral acids

Operation temperature: -30 to +95 °C
Density: 1,12-1,14 g/cm³

Trade names: Durethan A, Ultramid A and others

General properties: shatterproof even in frost, not scratch-resistant, good electrical insulator

Examples of use: Handles, seals, fuel tanks, sliding elements, water pipes

Resistant to: water, alcohol, oil, petrol
Not resistant to: strong oxidizing agents

Operating temperature: -50 to +80 °C
Density: 0,94-0,96 g/cm³

Trade names: Hostalen, Lupolen, Vestolen and others

General properties: very good strength and dimensional stability, tough, abrasion resistant

Application examples: thin-walled precision parts, gear wheels, sliding elements, pump parts, housing

Resistant to: gasoline, mineral oil, washing lye, alcohol
Resistant to: Gasoline, mineral oil, washing lye, alcoholNot resistant against: strong acids, UV radiation, water at > 65 °C

Operating temperature: -50 to +110 °C
Density: 1,41-1,43 g/cm³

Trade names: Delrin, Hostaform, Ultraform and others

General properties: like PE, but not resistant to frost

Examples of use: Fan blades, pump housing, spoiler, transformer housing, case shells, toys

Resistant to: washing lyes, weak acids, alcohol
Not resistant to: petrol, benzene

Operating temperature: 0 to +110 °C
Density: 0,90-0,92 g/cm³

Trade names: Hostalen, Moplen, Vestolen and others

General properties: hard, brittle, notch sensitive

Examples of use: lamps, combs, toothbrushes, transparent packaging

Resistant to: lyes, alcohol, water, resistant to aging
Not resistant to: petrol, acetone, UV-sensitive

Operating temperature: -20 to +70 °C
Density: 1,05 g/cm³
